Henna Khawja
Henna Khawja is a young grassroots activist who consistently promotes social justice and women’s rights through her work both at home in Canada as well as internationally. Having graduated with a Collaborative Masters Degree in Social Work and South Asian Studies, Henna has taken her passion and applied them to her work as a crisis counsellor, as well as a large number of equity and anti-oppression endeavours. Most notably, Henna is a co-founder of The NUSAYbah Project which aims to empower and give a voice to young Muslim women through dialogue and art in an attempt to shatter barriers and remove stereotypes. Henna is an inspiration to young women everywhere.
